Visit
A morning in the port, an evening at the grill
Old Akko is small enough to walk end to end in twenty minutes. Here is how we suggest spending a day before dinner.

Early
Watch the boats come in
From about half past six the small boats tie up below the wall and unload into crates. It is the best free show in the city, and you will see some of tonight's menu go past.
Stand back from the quay edge and the forklift lane — it gets busy.
A day in Old Akko
Our suggested route
Harbour & market
The quay, then the covered market for coffee with cardamom and fresh hummus.
Halls & walls
The underground Crusader halls, then a slow walk along the sea ramparts.
Dinner
Sunset sitting on the wall at 18:00, or the hall if the wind is up.

By train, car or on foot
